Thanks for coming to check out Sweet Grace Cake Co. I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself to you.
My name is Caitlin and I was born and raised in Albuquerque. In May 2019, I will have been married for four years to my husband Tyler. He is my rock in this crazy, beautiful life we share. I am a mama to a wildly independent, strong-willed two-year-old boy named Lincoln, and a quiet, snuggly and “serious like her dad”, 8-month-old daughter named Scarlett.
Baking has always held a special place in my heart. In the best and worst of times, food can communicate to people what you can’t sometimes find the words for. It can show happiness, love, and hope for the future. It is a love language for me. I love to love on my friends and family through my food.
For a long time now, people have been encouraging me to sell my cakes, but I always batted away the idea. Back-to-back pregnancies, figuring out how to be a mom and a wife, all the while trying to find a bit of “me” somewhere in this new life was exhausting. I honestly couldn’t imagine adding the responsibility of also baking and selling my cakes.
And then one day, I really felt God calling me to start baking. I know it sounds crazy, but do you know what’s even more crazy? I listened. I listened with my whole heart and dove head in. The blessings that have unfolded since that day have been far more than I ever dreamed.
So, now we are here! I am pursuing this dream and “cake journey” and I‘m loving every minute of it. The creations, the colors, talking with customers and being brought into their most special and intimate moments is something that is truly humbling. I don’t know what The Lord has in store for Sweet Grace, but I can only imagine that it is going to be great.
So last but not least, I want to say thank you to my husband. A long time ago I read an article about finding your “food people”. They are the ones who you love to cook and create for, the ones always in the back of your mind. I could not do this without you. Thank you for giving me the best years of my life, and for always being my “food people”. Here’s to whatever the future has in store for us!
